Delicately, serenely blue

I'm afraid I don't know a lot about the origins of this brooch. It's made from metal and has paste stones, so it's not worth much, but I find it attractive. It probably dates from the first half of the 20th century. The base is a vintage postcard from the 1910s.

Postcards are made from cardstock, which is a heavy form of paper.
