24/52: Technique - Smoke
I've been really pleased that I joined the 52Photos group because the weekly challenges have made me try things I might otherwise never have thought of. I've never photographed smoke before, so I had to watch some tutorials on YouTube before having a go. It was a lot of fun. Some of the ingredients involved in creating this image were: an incense stick (I kept expecting the police to knock on my door wanting to know what I was 'growing' in my conservatory!), a black card background, a dark pet blanket (minus the pet), an off-camera flash, a flash trigger (which arrived from Amazon today), 2 small pieces of black card, an elastic band, an angle-poise lamp and a bit of fiddling in Photoshop. And, yes, smoke did get in my eyes. :)
