hellgah!
Ian & Me
I have been absent from flickr for quite a while now. But I haven't abandoned this place. The whole month of January is a sorrowful blur to me. My dearest brother Ian, passed away on the 23rd of January after a long bout with pneumonia. He was only 62 yrs. old and none of us were prepared for this loss. I still have a hard time believing it happened. He was a noble, kind, intelligent, wise, loving soul, the kind this world needs more of, and seems to lack these days.
He was an amazing man. He suffered a broken neck when he was only 17 yrs old, playing high school football; and was never supposed to walk again, but somehow he willed himself to do it...and did it for many years...he drove across this country of ours several times...he did things I would find hard to do and I'm not paraplegic!. He had spent the last five years living in the city of Fresno, and loved his place there in the Fulton Mall...he finally found his home, and never wanted to go anywhere else again. He was very much an activist, and was fighting hard to save the Mall, as the city of Fresno is planning on destroying this place, to put in more parking. www.facebook.com/FultonMall

He was our big brother and he will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him.
