Snaggle-Toothed Lemur
Blue-eyed black lemur (Eulemur flavifrons) named "Aykroyd" born March 23, 2009 at the Duke Lemur Center in North Carolina. Aykroyd now lives in the San Diego Zoo's Africa Rocks habitat with his twin brother "Belushi" who together are referred to as the "Blues Brothers".
Blue-eyed black lemurs are herbivorous, eating fruit and leaves. They are sexually dichromic (males black, females reddish brown, both have blue eyes) and are endemic to the Island of Madagascar.
This lemur species is one of the 25 most endangered primates in world with a conservation status of Critically Endangered
