A group from Heifer International, Green Mountain Coffee, and CESMACH (Campesinos Ecologicos de la Sierra Madre de Chiapas) were delivering a pig to the village. Heifer International and Green Mountain Coffee are woking together in the area in partnership called "Building our Future: Toward Improving Campesion Families' Livelihood from the Sierra Madre of Chiapas". The project is focused on reducing the families' dependence on coffee by providing them alternative methods of sustainability during the "thin months" when income from coffee in reduced.
