Under the milky way tonight
I don't think Astro pics are overly popular on Flickr & I blame NASA! After all they keep publishing those unbelievably stunning shots from their satellites and telescopes the size of football fields.
So here is a quickie from that great night doing an Astro photography workshop in 2017. I did capture the shooting star as well in this shot, though I cropped the photo so "moved" it so it would still be in the frame. I don't have the skills, or location, to take those great shots I've seen with the Milky arcing over a mountain range. This was over a black ocean on a crystal-clear night. One day I will go to the stars and take photos, though maybe not in this lifetime ;)
