Ornate Cow Tick - Dermacentor reticulatus

Alicante Province, Atzeneta d'Albaida, Spain

 

There are some things not quite so nice lurking amongst the tall grasses, fortunately these are quite large and therefore very easy to spot. Not sure what makes them 'Ornate' though!

 

Best viewed very large.
