First scanned object printed - Candy T.
In October, we gave Candy Torres, CreatorSpace member and library program partner, a chance to test our our MakerBot Digitizer 3D scanner. She used the object on the left to let the scanner do its work of translating it into a digital file. The object on the right is what our MakerBot Replicator 2 reproduced after the scan -- an object identical in both dimensions and details. Add a little paint in the right places, and you have yourself a duplicate that is almost completely identical in appearance to the original.
