Smoke for the spirits above
The Kuan Yin Temple that graced Penang since 1928. It was built by the early immigrant settlers from China, in honour of the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, Kuan Yin.
Worshippers are burning incense sticks for good luck and blessings.
I took the photo in 1983 with my analog Nikon FE camera and 35mm slide film, and later digitalised by using a Nikon Coolscan 4000D film scanner.
