learning curve

I bought a new underwater camera for this trip. Since the trip happened in just a few days, I did not have time to really get to know the camera before we went. Our first trip out snorkeling left me with some less than desirable results. There are a few underwater modes with this camera, which is a nice thing -- but for some reason I chose one that automatically flashed! Not good for snorkeling unless the clarity is near perfect, which it was not.

So... those pink bubbles? They're part of the picture, not added. And they showed up pink. I took a little artistic liberty with this and used a little Buz Sim in Topaz Simplify to give it a painterly feel. Going to set this one for allowing comments as I'd love any feedback on underwater point & shoot cameras or tips! We did have a snorkel trip to a clearer location one day, and those pictures should be a bit more workable.
