HST Power Car 43083 sits waiting at the Castleton Hopwood Ground Frame. The pairing of 43083 and 43089 worked UK Railtours "The East Lancs. 125 Special" earlier in the day.
Both power cars have just left the East Lancashire Railway and crossed over onto Network Rail metals. The rear portion of the train is seen waiting to depart working 1Z44 18:05 Castleton Hopwood Gf to St Pancras International.The summer looks to have long gone and there was some nice gloomy Autumn weather ...right on cue for the departure.
I missed the inbound working due to bl**dy traffic at the bottom of the M61 .......arrgghhhhh!
