Metamorphosis

Its a bit of a late add, but I thought I would put this on here because it was my first project that I completed on the photography btech diploma course at college. We had to make a book cover either for Alice in wonderland or the less popular The Metamorphosis, I chose to be different (only one other person in my class took on this challenge as it was the harder project of the two) I made the image using a Pentax K-X, my own completely homemade studio ( consisting of lamps and lights on stands and taped to the ceiling and a black sheet as the backdrop) Photoshop and of course the help of my friends, well the other 2 watched and messed about, one modelled, and the other did the make-up as she started a theatrical make-up course! Io was going for the phase where the character would have been in the middle of turning into the bug - as if the expressionless face of a bug was starting to take over but human characteristics still shine through; exhausted and scared, with out being too obvious. Anyway, I was quite pleased with my result, especially when I was given one of 5 distinctions given out throughout the two photography classes! Not boasting or anything...
