Nanhi Chhaan Rural Skill Development Centre - Harsimrat Kaur Badal
Heralding a new dawn in Punjab in terms of skill development and professional education, 200 Nanhi Chhaan Rural Skill Development Centre for girls have been opened across the state. These centres would train girls in professional stream of Beauty and Wellness with sub-courses of senior makeup artist and hair therapist. The girls passing out from the four-month course would be awarded certificates by the academy of renowned hair stylist Jawed Habib. Punjab government plans to open one such centre in every block, which afterwards would come around to one centre after a cluster of every 10 villages. These centres would be instrumental in creating self-employment avenues for the trainees.
