Red Kite - Diving In (and keeping an 'eye' on the camera)

I think we can safely say this kite wasn't wholly concentrated on his target!

 

Wings folded In full diving mode he clearly knew we were there., and was keeping a watchful eye even as he swooped down.

 

Predication works both ways., and apparently it is only Eagles that don't bother to check over their shoulders before making the 'kill'., all other raptors do a final check first

 

Of course there was another possibility., perhaps he was wondering what a Canon camera might taste like!
