Der, Die, Das
Putting an article in front of a publication’s title seems to be en vogue.
In German language, there are as many as three definite articles: the masculine form ‘der’, as in ‘Der Freitag’ [The Friday], the feminine one ‘die’, as in ‘Die Tageszeitung’ [The Daily News], and the neuter ‘das’, as in ‘Das Magazin’. Don’t ask why a day of the week is considered to be male.
We really should introduce a fourth form so that ‘Zitty Berlin’ can have a unique definite article, too.
