Shielded Shovelhead
The Shielded Shovelhead is a small, inquisitive creature that can be found in warm, damp forests, usually with its head in the dirt. The Shovelhead uses its large feet and wide, flat head to dig through soft soil in search of buried grubs, nuts, and roots.
The back is protected by a toughened carapace, out of which protrude a pair of spines. These spines vary in shape, size, and colour, and are the easiest way to tell individuals apart.
