Chicago Shortline 30 & 31 @ Interlake Steel, Chicago, IL (1986)

A pair of EMD SW1500's with a loaded hot metal train departing Interlake Steel, Chicago Furnace Plant, at E. 107th Street & S. Burley Ave. heading to the steel mill in Riverdale, IL.

While most of this facility was demolished in the early 2000's, the administration building remains and is now the home of KCBX terminals Co., a petcoke, coal, salt, slag, cement, and clinker processing facility and ocean freight docking and loading services facility owned by Koch Industries
