CK&S 819 (EMD NW2 ex-IHB)

The Carthage, Knightstown and Shirley Railroad, now defunct, carried riders on an hour-long ride on rails once owned by the Big Four railroad company near Knightstown, Ind., a town about 30 miles from Indianapolis. Special events included a Mother's Day trip, Train Robbery adventures as well as Pumpkin Patch Runs in October. The CK&S; also provided rides for festival attendees when Knightstown celebrates Jubilee Days in June and a citywide festival in September. In addition to this NW2, the roster also had two GE 45-tonners, No. 215 and 468.
