A Very Mucky Duck
Inside I expect is a mess and not likely to re-open soon, it was flooded three times last week and again recently, as well as the last two times there was bad weather. This is where we occasionally go to eat out, the car park is now a lake. The pub sits alongside the River Itchen. Yes, there has been extraordinary amounts of rain in recent weeks but as we saw from my walk along the Itchen Way, the Itchen Navigation hasn't been sorted out for years, silted up more when they built the M27 and just left as little more than a ditch, now filled with weeds and rubbish, unable to take much water flow from the river. It's very convenient to blame the weather.
