A manufacturer of airplane/helicopter components, had this specialty lift created for material handling and storage of assembly fixtures and parts. The lift travels horizontally along a 250 foot track with racking situated on either side. The top of the platform is a gravity conveyor comprised of dual chain pullers, a roller platform, and v tracks for moving parts into and out of the storage racking at various heights. Propelling the lift are four independent but synchronised two-speed motors which are directly coupled to the wheel cubes.
Dual operating push button control stations allow the unit to be operated from either side. Vertical movement
of the lift is accomplished via a double set of hydraulically actuated scissors.
