Statue of Queen Anne at St Paul’s Cathedral

Anne was Queen of Great Britain when Saint Paul's was completed in 1710. To commemorate the completion of the cathedral, this statue of Queen Anne by Francis Bird was placed in front of the cathedral in 1712. The statue deteriorated over the years, and this replacement, by Richard Belt, was erected in 1885. The figures around the pedestal represent England, Ireland, France, and North America.
