My Park, My Avenue

Make a space

For my body.

Dig a hole.

Push the sides apart.

This is what

I'm controlling.

It's a moat

The inside that I carve.

The picture is taken from inside the clock in front of the Grand Central façade facing 42nd Street. The clock contains the world's largest example of Tiffany glass and is surrounded by sculptures of Minerva, Hercules, and Mercury. The sculptures were designed by French sculptor Jules-Felix Coutan.
