These freshly-oiled ballscrew bearing housings were machined from 12L14 steel billet entirely on a Haas SL-25APL dual-spindle turning center with automatic parts loader in the Haas Automation machine shop. The oil protects the completed housings from oxidation until they can be anodized – the only outside process for these parts.
