when numbers count
Ever since Home Economics class in junior high school I've enjoyed adventures in the kitchen. And I prefer cooking before baking because the former is more forgiving, more flexible. A little of this, a pinch of that, a handful or two of something else, taste and adjust, done.
Baking, on the other hand, is not so flexible. This is when precise numbers make the difference between success and a gawd awful failure.
Today is overcast and drizzling, perfect for making bread. Although only five ingredients, they must be at a precise temperature and measurements to yield a beautiful pan of focaccia.
Project 365-206
Week 30 Theme: Numbers
Note: if the group moderators think this is a stretch (and not just of dough!) to make the theme, I'll take it out of the weekly thread. :-)
