Duluoz Me
First Snow 2017
US Capitol Police have the Capitol pretty well locked-down. Now, I understand that we live in an "uncertain world" (that's nothing new, by the way), but it breaks my heart a little as an average citizen to live in an America which is, in many, many ways, so far from free.
Just after this photo, I was kicked out by an officer (who incidentally was quite rude about it) for simply taking pictures...of what is supposed to be OUR Capitol. I was not endangering myself or anyone else. I was not damaging the grounds or causing a stir. In fact, the officer was likely the only one who noticed me. All the same, I didn't put up a fuss. I just went on my way. After all, what can a person do in that situation?
