Without a dressing room to use, John Gilstrap, a bullfighter (rodeo clown), finishes his makeup in the men's room at the coliseum in Winston-Salem, NC as others come and go about their business. Part of a story on the rodeo clowns in town for several days of a rodeo. 1985.
The only time I've ever been called into a Publisher's office was the day after this one was printed. When I left there a month or so later for a new job the staff presented me with a shirt with the words, "Reynolds, let me give you a little advice," printed on it. Publisher Joe Doster's words to me in our little meeting. I still have the shirt.
