Trumpeter Swan, Cygne trompette, Cisne Trompetero / Cygnus buccinator
"Trumpeter Swans demand superlatives: they’re our biggest native waterfowl, stretching to 6 feet in length and weighing more than 25 pounds - almost twice as massive as a Tundra Swan. Getting airborne requires a lumbering takeoff along a 100-yard runway. They breed on wetlands in remote Alaska, Canada, and the northwestern U.S., and winter on ice-free coastal and inland waters.
Measurements: Both Sexes
Length: 54.3-62.2 in (138-158 cm)
Weight: 271.6-448.0 oz (7700-12700 g)
Wingspan: 79.9 in (203 cm)"

Photographed in the wild, Lasalle Park, Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Dec 28, 2019.
