Clin d’œil Finistère a Roscoff (Breton: Rosko)

A tribute - An invitation

This glass and earthenware eye is an artistic and poetic tribute to the thousands of men and women who have worn and rescued seamen in difficulty. The sailors of antiquity painted large eyes at the bow of their ships, these eyes were supposed to protect the crews from the dangers of navigation. Finistère and its coastline, at the head of Europe, in a "ship" with a global dimension, inspire this artistic and photographic work. In 2019, in a climate and environmental emergency, this mineral look is an invitation to attention, daring and solidarity.
