Abandonment has plagued even Detroit's finest neighborhoods and structures, and this shuttered church is no exception. This church, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was a casualty of the recent foreclosure crisis, which has seen the surrounding neighborhood littered with shuttered structures. There were, simply, no more people left to fill the seats.
