TinMan Scientific Balloon Hand Launch

Kristina McKeown (Los Alamos National Laboratory) prepares TinMan (Thermal Neutron Measurement Experiment) ahead of a scientific balloon flight from NASA’s Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, on August 21, 2024. This 60-pound payload is designed to help scientists and engineers better understand how thermal neutrons may affect aircraft electronics.
