Bee Line (Wilson's Snipe)

When it is spooked, a Wilson's Snipe launches like a bottle rocket and flies like a cottontail, zig-zagging at supersonic speeds, almost impossible to follow. But when it just wants to get from point A to point B it takes a more linear route that can occasionally be tracked. Crossing a mudflat on Horsepen Bayou during the 2024 Christmas Bird Count.
