While in keeping with the parade of menhaden in midair, this baitfish is more floating than flying in the beak of a juvenile Tricolored Heron on Horsepen Bayou. Atypically, the fish is not yet positioned properly to go down the gullet, but regardless, there is no escape. Number five in the "Birds Eating Menhaden" series.
