fine art black & white macro study of a dragonfly on barbed wire by the roadside. A pied dans l'Eure - on a walk in the Eure area of Normandy, France

Hand-held shot of roadside barbed wire fencing that was very clearly a favourite haunt of dragonflies - at least, because these were strong and very fast fliers and held their wings to either side rather than folded back, I assume they are dragonflies.

The walk called Sentier de l'Ancien Phare. Walking from the 12th century Eglise Saint- Martin in Fatouville-Grestain and back, taking in the Old Lighthouse (Ancien Phare), Chateau de la Pommeraye (orginated in the 12th century) and the Lavoir de Carbce (place of washing) and the 12th century Chapelle (really need to translate?) de Carbec, with views over the magnificent Seine Estuary, 12 roadside crosses and pools, such as the Mare d’Inglemare. www.eure-tourisme.fr/Fiche/Detail/Balades-et-randonnees/F...
