October sunlight shines through a gap in a wooden fence to light up a beautiful pink Lavatera maritime (Tree Mallow) that has not quite opened fully. The late morning sunshine was pouring through a gap between two fence boards and threw a deep shadow behind the flower. There was fair breeze so exposure had to be adjusted to get a fast shutter speed. An easy shot build up from triple exposure levels at 12 focus points and then stacked and blended in photoshop and processed to black & white. Potterton garden, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
