End of the road - for the environment?

Driving into a rural site, miles from town and walking a kilometre to dump a tyre into a pond is not only environmentally criminal, it’s stupid, considering there are so many recycling centres in the region. Not only is it the end of the road for the tyre, such activity can lead to the end of the road for the environment.
