Oldham 402 in the second incarnation of the experimental blue livery.
It was pretty grim especially when you note the nicely laid out traditonal maroon and white "tramway" style livery on the Roe bodied buses in the background, but it wasn't worse than the wretched pink and yellow that replaced this..... so called Pommard and Devon Cream. I can't repeat what we actually called it at the time...
The first application of the experimental blue livery had brought the light blue down to the lower deck window surrounds, and a thin yellow waistband below that. Only the lower panels had carried the dark blue on this style.
Note the unique to Oldham Harry Taylor inspired fibreglass bonnet mouldings which replaced the traditional Leyland BMMO tin front fittings on overhaul.
