199/365 - TECHNICAL KNOCK OUT

199/365 – TECHNNICAL KNOCK OUT

Day 199of the 365 Journey

Day 1 of the NATURAL LIGHT challenge

First and foremost THANK YOU t o EVERYONE that sent a note, an email, or comments about yesterday. I honestly don’t think I’ve ever been that frustrated with this project. So many people said such kind and encouraging words and it was AWESOME. I seriously read through everything and had a lump in my throat. The support was overwhelming. I can’t begin to thank everyone for the kind words and inspiring support. In the enormous pool of possible problems, not knowing what to shoot, fails in comparison to pretty much…..well everything. Even still, you were all there with a compassionate ear, and words of wisdom. THANK YOU FROM HE BOTTOM OF MY HEART! (no I wasn’t actually yelling that.)

Now for today!

While this would have been a perfect shot for last week’s challenge “Hands”, It also works as an excellent example for this week’s challenge; “SHOOTING WITH NATURAL LIGHT”! After I posed the question at the conclusion of the last challenge, MANY…MANY…MANY people suggested shooting with natural light. Something I obviously don’t do very often. I only have a couple shots in my 365 where strobes were not used. NOW I’ve accepted the challenge of shooting with nothing but ambient light for the next seven days. On the surface it doesn’t sound like anything major at all right? Yea we’ll see about that. If I’m lucky maybe we’ll get a couple of the suggestions to piggyback during the week.

This was actually a shot I composed in my head when I left at 10pm last night to go to BORDERS (book store) for some inspiration. I think I’ve learned NOT to lay it out exactly in my head. All I need to do is build the concept, and create it ass I go. When I lay it out……it goes flat! Psssssssssssssssssssssssssisdgfsiifgslajsofjsd………….pfffff

Thank you again to EVERYONE for your support. It helped immensely!

Tomorrow is day 200…wish me luck!
