The Bright Side of the Road

This fine new bench in Lews Castle grounds has been placed beside the path leading up to Gallows Hill, and has views facing south toward Arnish across recently cleared woodland and newly constructed tracks.

 

The bench bears a plate in memory of Alaine Macleod Miller (nee Mackenzie) which has inscribed on it the phrase "the bright side of the road".
