Intimate Portrait
I like my 70-200mm in studio because every now and then I will see a facial expression that I like and I zoom in to capture it. The model doesn’t change the expression or know I am shooting a close portrait and it gives the photo an intimate feel. I know I am not alone with doing this, but that is an advantage of the 70-200mm lens. Lastly, with eyes I tend to remove shadows which allows the eye color and definition to be seen.
