Day 1 Mia the DeeJay

Today I sold my soul to the 365 game.

I have decided to undertake the challenge of taking at least one new photo every day and uploading it on Flickr. The intention is to make myself more prolific. To test myself and to attempt to be more creative. To take photos I've never thought of taking before and to get better at what I already do. To mercilessly rip off other peoples ideas on flickr and pass them off as my own.... scchhush ok I promise to credit.

Those of you with full time jobs know that taking at least one photo every day can be difficult. Time is of the essence indeed. You get up at 6:45am or in my case a small child climbs onto your head sometime after 6:00 am. You spend 1.5 hours getting to work, spend all day in front of a pc. Spend 1.5 hours getting home. You eat. You start to unwind. Its 8pm and you're already looking forward to going to bed. Rock n Roll.

For me this isnt about adding a new upload daily. This is about actually taking new photos every day. Getting better at my hobby.

I am working towards my LRPS still. I showed an initial panel last weekend at a viewing day where they peruse your potential and I walked out with half a set ready to go. I also learnt that I can be repetitive, and do not challenge myself enough. There is not enough photographer on view in my photographs. Not enough intelligence.

So for those of you who bother to read my comments as well as looking at my photos please encourage me. Obviously my postings might be a day late every now and again and those who know me probably dont expect me to get past the first week but Im going to give it a shot. Oh and I suspect my kids may feature a lot!

Day 1. March 18th 2009

Mia the DeeJay!

Finally those more attentive amongst you will have noticed that I am no longer Short Sharp Shot. Im Gregory Warran. I dont know why I've had a psudonym for so long. I mean I cant even spell the bloody word. So Gregory Warran it shall now remain.... at least until I get bored and change it again!
