Yes, I own one of those ND110 filters now. No, I won't be only shooting images like this in the future... and if you look at my stream you see I can't stay still in one place anyway. I want to try it all and know it all. Well.. you know what I mean.
But the workflow on location like this changed completely. It took me 30 minutes to set up and take this picture. I wanted the angle to be low. But to get that result, your camera has to be low.. duh.
I am looking at stones who are slippery wet. You step on it the wrong way and you will break your neck. My new tripod is already my best friend after the first shoot.

But to be able to get it that low, I have to reverse the middle column.
This would look like this..

but in the middle of wet stones. I promise next time I will take my point and shoot to take a picture... :-)
It is absolutely impossible to look into the viewfinder. Live view is the only way I can see something. And then.. I have a mirror in my hand so I can see the screen of my camera and somehow make a composition. (there are three guys fishing 30 feet away from me and I know they are thinking.. what the hell is he doing)
If you would now take this picture the "normal" way you would click and you're done...But I am not! I am just reading what the camera is telling me. 1/100 of a second would be the correct exposure and also do the focus.
Now I screw on my ND110 and a polarizing filter in front of my lens and turn the auto focus off. This means 13 stops less then what I have now. Without this chart

from www.bwvision.com it would be impossible to take one (1) picture and get it correct. No way.
So looking at the chart I am going with 1min and 30 seconds. (about in the middle of 1/125 and 1/60)
All in all it was pretty much 45 min by the time I was done. One picture.
And you thought I just go out and take a little picture eh?? It was work........ :-) and I loved every minute of it.
