Le Sacré Coeur - Montmartre, Paris

Montmartre and "La Basilique du Sacré Coeur" is possibly my favorite touristic area of Paris. As the rest of the city it was overcrowded, but the atmosphere in Montmartre is just unique.

 

While for our entire holidays we had almost exlusively blue skies, that particular day we had some clouds which are enhancing the contrast in the church itself. Although "Notre-Dame" is even more spectacular and historically interesting, the positioning of Le Sacré Coeur on the top of Montmartre and the presence of artists around has a particular flavor.
