NS 1070 - Rutledge South - Ottumwa IA
After a little bit of consideration, this is my favorite shot from my lunchtime chase on Monday. Along with the Wabash, it's got all the things that makes the CP interesting here in town: searchlights, pole line, and the funky multi-directional crossing signal. At first I was disappointed that this was the leader instead of the Pennsy that ran across the IAIS this day, but then I realized something: This could be the first time that "the Wabash" has run through Ottumwa since the railroad left town in the 70s.
