Bulb Comparison

Well, I had to do my first "major" repair to the Scoutback today after finding a blown low beam last weekend. As it turns out, changing a low beam or a fog lamp on this requires that you pull back the fender lining and contort your hand to fit into some rather small holes while blindly trying to feel your way through the installation... Two hours later and my hands are still cramped!

After doing some extensive research and finding generally shitty information, I decided on some Philips CrystalVision Ultras because they had more favorable reviews than unfavorable reviews and the online reputation of Sylvania SilverStars seemed to be quite bad. A rapid reaction is that they are far whiter and marginally brighter than what I had... Hopefully they last at least another 20 months because changing them was a bitch.
