...Waiting to cross the path

This deer was gazing intently at us as we stood in a mowed path between the high grass, at Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary in Mt. Airy, Maryland. Eventually, after I briefly turned my attention to something else, it quickly dashed across the path.
