Red Deer Rut

n Bradgate Park we had some pretty close encounters with impressive stags during the rutting season. We were very surprised that they didn't seem to be bothered by us at all, and only paid attention to their herds and possible competitors. When we sat down on a bench to have something to eat, we suddenly saw two big stags approaching us from both sides. Apparently we were having our picnic in the middle of their battlefield...
