EVIDENCE OF LIGHT ~ 5
from time to time
we take light
as a given
somewhat incidental only
it is there on the scene
to illuminate,
to give dimension
or a cover for the surface
but it shows itself to us
many times as its opposite
shadows, darkness, shade
the opposite side of the texture
it moves as your hands moves
but there is evidence of light
everywhere
even if we cannot see
the source
the point of origin
the reason
for a while all we can do
is just look to evidence
what the light does around us
to see that natural
or artificial
we attempt
to wrap ourselves
in light
to remind and comfort us
we have awakened into a world
plunged into darkness
surrounded by light
