Conch Shell with a Figure of Hevajra is a sculpture of bronze decorating a ritual shell. According to the museum, conch shells were blown into to signal the start of important palace rituals. The figure represented is Hevajra, an enlightened buddhist being with multiple limbs and heads. The shell originates from Khmer, Cambodia. It is dated to the 12th century during the Angkor period. Its overall size is 13 ¾ inches, an intimate scale especially for the deity represented on it. The sculpture is stored at the Cleveland Museum of Art in the John L.
