White-point, Mythimna albipuncta, Le Point blanc,

In the UK this is an immigrant and recent colonist. It is regularly caught in moth traps when wind conditions from the continent are suitable. It is also believed to now be resident in south coast counties. In France it is a widespread species across the country. Larvae feed on various grasses. I trapped this species throughout my stay at La Grave, Dordogne, in June 2012. Many of the moths were quite worn.
