365/365: Go, do.
Go do, you'll know how to
Just let yourself, give into low tide
We should always know that we can do everything
So, this is it! I bet you all expected something epic, didn't you?
It has taken a month or so longer than it should have, but this project is finally finished--and it's brought quite the mix of emotions. A sense of relief, a deep exhale, a bit of sadness, excitement, and a general feeling of accomplishment.
There are so many people I have to thank, and I'm sure I'll forget to mention some. Just know that I appreciate every one of you who have taken the time to look at my photos, those who have encouraged me to keep going when I felt like setting it aside, and those few who have followed this project from the very beginning.
To my Heavenly Father, my Creator, for the gifts and talents He has blessed me with, and for His ever sufficient grace and guiding hand. To my loving parents who have so graciously put up with all the random glittery messes and for encouraging me to continue doing what I love. To Anna, Justine, and Aleah, for modeling for me when I grew tired of standing in front of the camera, for occasionally pushing the shutter button, and for avoiding all those lurking creepers with me. To Austin, for not simply putting up with my antics, but for always being there with an encouraging word, for understanding the frustration of a tired creative mind, and for being a constant source of inspiration. To Andrea Murrow, for inspiring me to explore photography for the first time nearly three years ago. To Tori, for graciously being my remote on more than a few occasions. And to her mom, Gina, for so happily allowing me to abuse her old Velbon tripod. To every self proclaimed "flickr-stalker" and those who haven't said a word. To those I know by name and those I have never met. The support of every one of you means the world to me, and I can't say thank you enough.
To Rosie Hardy and Kalie Garrett, you two may never see this, but you inspired me to begin this project in the first place. Thank you.
And a quick thank you to these 365ing people.
They each have very beautifully unique streams, and I suggest you go check them out if you haven't already. Whitney (Aka, They.Call.Me.Doodlebug), Thank you for your ever encouraging words and beautiful photographs. Lauren Withrow, for your perfectly unique and inspiring style of work. Kalie Garrett, for your fantastic taste in music, dedication to your project, quirky style and tongue-in-cheek humor. Zack Ahern, for your kindness and grace, for your inspiring faith and incredible work.
I have grown in so many ways throughout the course of this project, and though it proved difficult at times, I am incredibly thankful for the impact it has had on my life. Strengthening my faith, love of art, and self-motivation. This is something I will never fully be able to describe.
Now my dear Flickr, I promise I wont be leaving you behind any time soon. I'll be posting fairly regularly, and may even have a new project up my sleeve. ;)
